A Guyana Chronicle Report - THE Rotaract Club of Georgetown Central (RCGC) has elected young diplomacy professional Tevianne Griffith as its new president for the 2026–2027 Rotary year, with the Essequibo native pledging to strengthen the club’s culture of service while expanding its impact through community-focused initiatives
Griffith officially assumed office at the start of the new Rotary and Rotaract year on July 1, succeeding the club’s outgoing leadership. She will serve until June 2027, overseeing one of Guyana’s largest and most active Rotaract clubs.
Speaking about her appointment, Griffith said she was honoured by the confidence shown by members, who elected her after she emerged with the highest number of votes from among four nominees.
“I was extremely humbled by the confidence that the membership actually placed in me. It signalled that my clubbies had the confidence that I could actually lead our club,” she said.
Although aware of the responsibilities associated with the role, Griffith said she accepted the challenge knowing she would have the support of a capable executive team.
